I've been wanting to go to a movie with my dad for a while now. Last night we went! I've been wanting to see "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" ever since the first previews came out.

Dawson also managed to convince us to let him come along, and kept protesting against the movie constantly reminding us: "I prefer Journey 2: The Mysterious Island!"

But, since he went to a movie with dad last Saturday, we did not go to the Journey (:

Within 10 minutes of the film starting, I was already crying, as well as laughing. I pretty much kept crying for two hours. And laughing. And feeling the pain.

The movie exceeded my expectations for it by a longshot. It was so heavy. It wasn't just one of those sad sentimental movies. I could actually begin to feel what everyone was going through. I kept wondering until the end of the movie.

It was phenomenal. And now I find out that there's a book. I'm for sure going to read it.

Definitely see this movie at some point, though probably best you regard the PG-13 rating as it is based around 9/11 and there are definitely heavier themes that I'm pretty sure would scar your 8 year olds for life.

So yesterday while mom was picking up her reading glasses, us kids walked around High Street, it was a beautiful day, though a bit windy. We stopped into Second Cup and we’re all walking and sipping our ciders and steamers (:

It was a photo worthy moment.

So, yesterday was Binou’s birthday. I couldn’t post because I was kind of being shipped from one location to another.

Anyways, for those of you who don’t know, Binou is my nickname for Maria. I tend to call her “Bean” alot as well, but its really short form of Binou.

Binou came to be her nickname for a few reasons.

1) She loves the show “Toopy & Binou”

2) She’s very much Alexa’s little sidekick, just like Binou

3) We were playing Toopy & Binou, and I was Toopy, she was Binou, and it just kind of stuck.

Nobody else really calls her Binou, except Dawson and sometimes Alexa.

Maria turned three years old yesterday, which is exciting but also a bit weird, considering she’s so mature and it seems like she should be turning sixteen, not three.

The day Maria was born:

The night before:

Dad was on the phone with Nana & Grandad, and mom had already gone to bed. Then I heard some commotion and mom goes stomping down the stairs. I didn’t suspect anything, but Dad yelps, hangs up the phone and mom called someone.

I didn’t think much of it, but when mom finally came back upstairs, she came into my room and whispered “my water just broke! i just called auntie ben, she’s coming, but don’t stay up because it will be in the middle of the night when she arrives. nothing will happen until morning anyway.”

Well, I did stay up, and since I was the only one awake, Auntie came upstairs to check on my mom but I was the only one awake so I whispered: “Pssssst!” and she came and talked to me, then went to bed.

The next morning: 5am ish:

I woke up, but stayed in my bed while mom was doing the lunges on the stairs. One she had made her way down, I went downstairs and sat on the couch. I can’t remember what I did…WAIT YES! Our little tiny two year old Alexa was awake, unaware of what was happening. The doula, Tracy, hadn’t arrived yet and so Dad was not able to help mom through contractions, because he had Lexi. So I took Lexi, and she just kinda sat there in my arms. In between contractions, mom would smile and say: “Thanks Britt, you’re being a huuuge help!” I felt really helpful (:

Soon, Tracy arrived and came inside to help mom some more. There was some more stairs, more contractions over the couch, and then it was getting lighter.

When Auntie Ben woke up, they went back upstairs for a long time. Dad would be up and down, but by now it was 9am ish. Then, Dad came down once more and said we’re gonna leave now! He went to put the carseat in the van. By now it was around 9:45.

They left, and at 10:30 we got a call saying that my new sister was born! Within half an hour of being admitted to the hospital! They hadn’t named her yet, but they would call us with more details later.

It was agony. When could we see her? What did they name her? How much did she weigh? The worst part, was that Auntie Ben said we could go to Toys ‘R Us while we were waiting to go to the hospital. But Maria was born on January 20th, 2009. Barack Obama’s Inauguration. My Auntie made us watch the WHOLE INAUGURAL CEREMONY WHILE WE WERE WAITING TO GO TO TOYS ‘R US.

It was the WORRRRSSST. Finally it had finished, we got some Kraft Dinner and headed out. At Toys ‘R Us, I got the HSM 3 soundtrack and listened on the way to the hospital.

When we got there, I was kind of in a daze so I don’t remember anything between when we parked and when I first held Maria Danielle, 7lbs - 11 ou., I forget how tall. Around 21 inches I’d imagine.

I think my Grandma & Grandpa might’ve already been there, and I remember Mom and Dad being the happiest and smiliest and the most dazed I’ve EVER seen them. I remember Alexa, Maria, and Kate’s births but with Maria they were DEFINITELY the most overjoyed. Dad just couldn’t let Maria go, “ooo”ing and “gooo”ing at her.

But then we had to leave.

I don’t remember much after that, except that mom had to stay at the hospital overnight, and Dad stayed with her and slept on the floor with Maria.

The next memory I have, is that they picked me up from debate on the way home from the hospital, and all the kids were screaming as they drove in to the yard, because they knew Maria would be there! As soon as we pulled them off of the van, I sat beside Maria on the way home.

After that, I remember having the “special touch” with Maria. I would sometimes be the only one that could get her to sleep. There were a couple months of really sore limbs and a neck and back.

But I love Maria (: It’s no secret, but if I absolutely had to pick a favorite, it’d be her!

So I’ve been scrapbooking again. Its been awhile. Like a long while. I’ve made cards, and various little projects for my room, or for gifts, but I haven’t legit scrapbooked in quite a few years.

What spurred me, was my friend Krista showed me her scrapbook from when she went to Poland this past year.

Since there’s come exciting things happening this year, I thought I’d keep a scrapbook of my Fifteenth Year as well as this blog.

I dug through our pile of scrapbooks in the guest room closet, and found a really funky one!

So that’s the cover, and here’s my first page so far.

It kind of has some monotonous grays and a sideline-black-and-white theme going along because our printer is out of the coloured. And I was just too eager to wait until we got printer ink. So I used a black and white photo.

I’m going to insert another photo in the top right corner, and then my journaling will go in that empty section on the bottom.

I’m also worried that there aren’t enough page protectors for all the pages I want to do. I want to do a couple pages for Christmas, a page for each sibling, a page for Storybook Theatre (BUY TICKETS OR DIE), at least three pages for Arizona, and then a few pages for the summer and until my next birthday.

There’s just too much stuff that I want to scrapbook about! Then, of course we’ll have to see if I actually stick with the scrapbook. It might just be the flavour of the day.

I must not tell myself that! I shall scrapbook until the end!

happy feast of the epiphany!

Today, is the feast of the Epiphany. Epiphany (for those of you who maybe don't know alot about it) is when the wise men arrived at the manger, and presented their gifts to the Baby Jesus.

There are lots of really fun traditions celebrated with Epiphany, one being that during Advent and the Christmas season, three wise men figurines travel around your house, and end up at the nativity scene today.

A favorite in our family, is the crown cake (:

After dinner, we have a special cake which we call the "crown cake" for Epiphany and the crowns of the wise men.

The first time we had crown cake on Epiphany, mom was acting a little bit weird. She kept sticking a cake tester into every square inch of that cake, testing for 'doneness' while the cake was obviously done and just sitting on the table waiting to be eaten.

She finally found pieces for Dawson and I that were 'fully baked' and I took a biiiiig bite.

Eww, there's metal in my mouth. A toonie!!!

So much for testing for doneness.

Now, mom wraps the toonies in wax paper just to be safe (:

But shhh, you're not supposed to let anyone that you are going to find money in the cake. Especially if you're a mom doing this for your kids, that would just ruin everything.

its scary when i look at pictures from last year. ive already changed so much! yikes.

this'll be an early christmas post, because i am going to outlook for christmas this year! yippeee!

pretty much...there's nothing else to explain about christmas. i want to tell you what i got everyone, but i'm not exactly sure just how much my family reads my blog. you never know, they might decide they wanna do their annual peek!

all i'm gonna say about the gifts i bought for my family this year is..."YOU'RE LUCKY TO HAVE ME IN THE FAMILY!!"

in the past few weeks, i made about $80 from babysitting, odd jobs, more babysitting. andddd i spent it all on christmas presents. usually, i spend $20 on EVERYBODY combined, but this year, like PER person.

its one thing to buy gifts for people at any store, but i spent $36.20 at the DOLLAR store on THREE people! i've got some lucky siblings this year (:

i'm not regretful of spending big bucks either! it was the MOST fun i've ever had spending money on someone else, and usually, its pretty painful to even buy a $4 snack for my brother. so that's saying alot.

i am getting really pro at procrastinating lately. i procrastinate breakfast, blogging, cleaning my room, even procrastinating SLEEP at night. and sometimes waking up in the morning.

but i have a quick few minutes to blog, finally, before kate destroys the neatly organized movie cabinet.

this morning was not fun. nothing is ever fun when you have a dentist appointment. i don't even have a clue why, but dentist appointments just cause so much anxiety for me. it's terrible! from the moment i remember the fact i even have an appointment that day, i guess a nervous stomachache that doesn't disappear until a few hours after the fact.

last night was the first dress rehearsal for north of broadway, you should come. of course, if you're one of my saskatchewan cronies, you're not required to drive THIS far.

the hardest part is going through the weekend. there is no way i will maintain my sanity until tuesday.

so today was a laughing kind of day!

i have no clue why, but today i just really loved life. -11:11 make a wish!!-

there was definitely not anything particularily amazetabulous about today, but there was humour. and, laughter truly is the best medecine.

rehearsal at storybook tonight, incredibly amazing! oh my goodness, we are thinking of just adding an extra show, just to parody everything! so many hi-larious ideas that now a comedy is looking much better than the legit story (: i cannot spoil anything though, if i tell you all about it, you won't come to see it, and believe me this blog is in for power promoting - speaking of, get your tickets before they sell out 45% gone! www.storybooktheatre.org <--- CLICK THE SHINY LINK!

on my birthday, i went to "beauty and the beast" at strathcona tweedsmuir school with alexa. it was okay. alexa loved it (:

on my birthday, we went to east side marios, and they made me stand on a chair in the middle of the restaurant. never again...

also on my birthday, my cousin mckenzie came to supper and celebrated with us. afterwords, he came back to our house and my brother beat him at super mario hockey on the wii. twice.

on my birthday, my daddy brought me roses, a family tradition - they're so gorgeous!

I am, of course, taking a cake decorating class at Michael's in Okotoks. Here are some pictures of my cake!!

So, this cake is the practice cake from the 2nd week, there are four weeks and you do a project every week. Now, the reason mine isn't very 'professional' is because of the icing, we supply our own Buttercream icing - and who would've thought you're not supposed to use BUTTER?!?!?

Anyway, because of the butter, the icing had a yellow-ish tint, and when I was actually ICING the cake, the cake crumbled, so there were crumbs in the icing, and then when I was decorating, because of the BUTTER in the BUTTERCREAM, the icing was MELTING as I applied pressure to the bag...so, things weren't ideal for me.

I WILL TRY AGAIN TODAY, THIS TIME, USING VEGETABLE SHORTENING (a.k.a . LARD) Ewww!!!! But if its what I've gotta do....

Hi! Once again, yes, I am alive!

I REALLY need to get back into frequent posting, but I've just been so busy changing the template and designing my NEW blog!!!

I *think* this new blog will be the last blog I create, and I'll just keep revamping it every year. It's nice to keep all your posts on one blog, but there's also something fun about designing a new one (:

My new blog will be released on my birthday, and it will be BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!

My New Blog Year's resolution is to post more frequently, and have more pages. I'm hoping to have a page for Advent stuff, a page for my experience with this play, a page for school related stuff, and MUCH MORE! Anyway, enough of the advertising.

What's going on with me? Lotsa non-urgent, yet important stuff. School assignments, online classes, cake decorating. All that jazz!

It's already an extremely heavy year for me in regards to school so far, and my fine arts involvement this year doesn't do much to help that. Tuesdays and Thursdays right after classes I'll be leaving for rehearsals, and trying to squeeze in North of Broadway will be tough! I'm determined to do both, though...its probably a really stupid decision however.

And- this was supposed to be long and more than a blog advertisement but my mom just informed me that it is almost 10pm (pfft, that's early!) and it is time for evening prayers....catch you up some more tomorrow? OH YESH! I also am going to post some spooky gruesome pics in honor (or dishonor) of the month of October! Look out for Dawson the Phantom Face, Dad the Kate Killer, and ME - The Red Dying Hood.

auditioning madness!!!

I think you all knew that I was auditioning for "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" at Storybook Theatre. That audition was last night. What you did not know is that someone else in my family ended up audition at the last minute.

It all happened when Dawson was helping me rehearse my lines as Susan. He played Peter, Edmund, and Lucy for me. I kept telling him how good he was at all the characters, especially Lucy! They accept drop-in auditions, so I was trying to persuade him to audition. Just for fun, he got a bone from the chicken I made, and said "I'm leaving it up to God. If you get the longer end, I don't have to audition. If I get the longer end...I will."

So we both struggled and pulled and bent and grabbed, trying to get the shorter end. After about 30 seconds I broke off a piece about 1.5 centimeters long! :)

He, of course, went on about how he wasn't really going to listen anyway, he just wanted to break the bone for fun. I brought it up over supper and mom and dad encouraged him. After that, everything flashed by. We took our headshots, hopped in the truck and spent about an hour and a half in between auditions.

His audition went really well, he loved it. He told us: "That was REALLY fun! The judges said my accent was incredible and they felt like they were watching 'Harry Potter'."

Congrats Dawson! Thanks for auditioning with me and supporting each other, that was a great experience and I'm so ecstatic that I got to share it with you!!!

P.S. I really wanted Dawson to audition for Lucy, if you watched the above video, you'd know why! I asked him what he would say if the judges wanted to know why he would be auditioning for Lucy, and he said "All my life, I've been a good boy. I just want one chance to be a good girl" Thanks for cracking me up in the green room dude! Way to break the nervous atmosphere! Everyone else was so annoyed with our giggling....

I drew this on Paint today. I took me about…..45mins, an hour.

I took a webcam picture of myself, and then drew it out using the picture as a guideline. For a first attempt at a portrait, I’m quite glad with the way it turned out!!!

i’ve been reallyyyyyyyy busy!

i’ve started school – ish….all of my online classes

my nana and grandad are in calgary, because me nana had an operation to remove her bladder. we went and visited her at the hospital for the first time today and she looked really good!

i babysit twice a week – wednesday while mom’s at music class, that’s when i watch maria and kate. and one other night a week where mom and dad go out for supper, and i watch all the kids. BUT, for doing all this babysitting, i had the option to solely get paid, or get a laptop. yeah, of course i chose the laptop (:

uhm…i’m trying to find fun-er things to write about…more exciting stuff but….

OH! if anyone wants to get me 3-4 tickets to selena gomez at the dome in october? kthnx. my dad said today that he could’ve gotten the agrium box for the concert and i went all beserk on him. this happens alot. he also had the chance for carrie underwood, katy perry, and….michael buble. also, he has the chance to get to some preeee good hockey games. i tell him, just, whenever you get the chance for the box at a concert, JUMP ON IT! you can never go wrong with a good concert. unless its like, justin bieber. even if it was, though, i would go throw some more water bottles at him

you can play as ko, a native girl preparing to 'come of age'. ko has to travel and survive by using math, in ways you would have never suspected math be involved in.

so, like, school is starting again. i'm sure you knew that, but if you didn't, i'm glad i was the one to break to you the bad news! jk, jk, you're probably just dying to get back at it.

i was on like, a 'mini-frequent-blog-posting-spree-thingy' while in kelowna, and i know you miss me and my humility, so here i 'sort of' am!

i could seem distracted, for dawson and i are having a 'criss angel mindfreak marathon' as a result of subscribing to NETFLIX!!!!!!!! i hafta say, its pretty awesome having hundreds of movies to watch instantly, especially since its like, the last few weeks of summer, and we totally shouldn't spend time outside!!! hooray for sarcasm!!! no, but really, this upcoming week is scheduled for rain.

i have a few ploys and schemes up my sleeve....less shirt (i'm not wearing long sleeves in the middle of august, like hello people!)
one involves getting my parents to drive me down to chinook before thursday to see the final harry potter movie, as well as another one involving me going back to saskatchewan with my auntie ben this week. but, shhhhhhhh!!!! none of the adults mentioned above know what they're about to get into! please don't tell. waitttttt......i kinda ruined that by putting it on the internet, huh? oh well. they were gonna hafta find out anyway.

dance forever or tonight tonight? the hilarious dillemma

dawson and i have been continuing our photoshoots around the resort every night, the themes of them based on weather, atmosphere, and wardrobe. as you might have noticed, the photoshoots are named with a name of a song that fits the essence of the shoot.

so naturally, the 'sunny, fun-loving, corny' beach shoot was entitled ' summer lovin' ' and the 'cloudy, dreary, looking-forsaken' shoot was named ' cold day in july ' it was normal last night, it wasn't breathtakingly beautiful like summer lovin', and wasn't miserable like cold day in july, so dawson and i agreed to focus last night's shoot on actions. we went througn my music library and narrowed the options down to a few songs we could portray with pictures. the final selections were:

dance forever - allstar weekend
tonight tonight - hot chelle rae
hate on me - glee cast
just the way you are - bruno mars
-and-
dynamite - taio cruz

eventually, selected only two - dance forever, and tonight tonight.

"which one should we do tonight?" asked dawson.

we thought, let's do 'dance forever' tonight, its perfect. then i pointed out the pretty obvious fact that we simply could not do 'tonight tonight' tommorrow night, it would be scandalous.

but we agreed that would be fine, we'd still do dance forever that night. after second guesses, dawson pointed out that, if we danced forever that night, we would never be able to do 'tonight tonight' the next night cause we'd still be dancing.

we did, however overcome our fears and challenges, and went with dance forever. pictures up soon.

the story is always the same, arrive in kelowna, go to the yarn shop, townhouse turns into a henhouse. in other words, everyone ends up crocheting or knitting the whole time. its a bit of an 'annual temporary addiction'.

this year we have been focusing on dishcloths, (and for mom, the occasional sweater and beret) and i think alltogether, our family and my grandma have produced at least ten dishcloths so far. i am working on my second:

so those are my dishcloths - or dishcloth and a third - i have so far. mom suggested i make a whole bunch, and then give them to the country hospice to sell and they keep the proceeds. i think thats what i'm going to do (i will stay play piano for the hospice, too)

i'm also in the process of making a youtube tutorial on the pattern, but i won't be actually TEAHCING you how to crochet, so if you know how to crochet, the link will be up in like, an hour or so.

Dawson and I go down to the beach everyday for a different themed photoshoot. The first one we did was themed 'summer lovin' ' so, viola, the photos for the shoots will have their own page. Whoooopppp!!!!! Summer is here!

Well, was here at least, I guess its the end of August now, and school starts on September 6th! 'Yay' she said sarcastically. Well, to be honest, she did not say it too sarcastically, because, in reality, she was 'sort of' excited to start....but don't tell her I said that, she would just deny it ;)

Anyway, right now, as I think most of you know that I am in Kelowna, B.C. stay at an absolutely loovvveeerrrrlllllyyyyyy resort right on Okanagan Lake. I am wasting time typing while I look for a link to their website. Mission Shores Resort Photo Gallery. Please be advised we are only RENTING a townhouse in this resort, because if you just looked at the website, you might've seen that one of these places in here goes for over 1 million. Dollars, not pennies.

We are within walking distance of some gorgeous public beaches, as well as our own resort's beach. We are also in walking distance of Starbucks, 7-11, restaurants, a boat rental place, and, of course, Pandosy Village! Mom's favourite place for window shopping, especially since it has a YARN STORE YAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <---- she definitely said this sarcastically.

Its a bit overcast today, so that's why I am spending this precious time on the computer, just to let ya know that I'm alive, cause I'm considerate like that ;)

I planned on writing alot more, because theres alot more to write, but I'm getting bored of this typing nonsense (I hope you appreciate my nonsense - oops, honesty)

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddd I'm signing offf for today, or now at least, and I'll seeeee yoouuu......through this plastic screen, on Skype, sometime or another. Its possible I'll see you in person before I call you on skype and I am totally starting to rant so I will stop abruptly right now.

A More Intricate Look...

At my first week of vacation...

Last Saturday, Dad left to go to Saskatoon in the morning, which is probably one of the most unusual things I have ever seen in his job. Like, really? What does a guy in charge of potash have to do on Saturday and Sunday in Saskatchewan? Don't worry, he did have a valid reason!

Anyway, so that meant it was all the ladies and a boy...I don't exactly remember what we did on Saturday, but whatever it was, its kinda automatic that when Dad is travelling, we're stressed out.

Sunday was....actually pretty smooth, considering having no father present in Mass when, the littles girls are always expected to be terrors. This time, though, they actually weren't bad at all! What a first!

Monday....THE DAY OF TRUTH!!!!
(mom has had a toothache the past couple of weeks, she got a crown put on and the pain was supposed to go away, but it didn't, so then the dentist and mom thought that she might need a root canal, and if she needed a root canal, that kaiboshed (correct spelling?) being able to go to Saskatchewan.

Well, we're here, so you know how that turned out!!! Mom does not need a root canal, and I even got to babysit Kate at home for the first time! Actually, out of all the kids, Kate was the best behaved :)

So at Tuesday around 1pm, I packed the van and we took off! It took a lot longer than expected to get there, because we stopped in Strathmore for lunch, and then in Drumheller to feed Kate milupa and nurse her. We stopped again in Oyen for a stretch and a snack, and then Kindersley for a quick Ice Capp for Mama ;)

Shortly after we arrived Erin, Jaclyn, and Auntie Angie came and joined us for dinner and an evening of visiting, and then Jaclyn came again the day after...and the day after! Kylie (4) and Alexa really hit it off! On Thursday Justin and Josh came out and we played all day.

Of course we simply cannot exclude our 'daily D&E fix'. The D&E is the best convenience store in the world. It can't even be categorized as a convenience store because it is too great to be generalized.

Mom gets a slush with vanilla soft-serve ice cream on the bottom, and orange crush slurpee on top of the ice cream. I get my usual slush with chocolate soft-serve on the bottom and a mix of everything on top, MAJORITY PEPSI FLAVOUR!

Really, that is our option when there isn't a Tim Hortons within 50 minutes away :P

Today is Grandpa's 75th Birthday!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

Tomorrow is our big shindig at the Heritage Centre which we rented especially for a family gathering of this size. We're expecting 40-50 people or more including children!!! The best part for me, is that they have a stage, a piano, a microphone, and a stereo system. I dibsed DJ'ing the event :D.

So, that is a synopsis of the week so far with a guarantee that I probably forgot half of everything we did, probably the most important stuff....oh well. I'm getting old. Eh, not really, but compared to Kate, I am p-r-e-t-t-y big. And, JSYK, mom says I am a young adult , just for future reference, of course.

GOOD NIGHT! IT IS ELEVEN PM. I FEEL SO DISCONNECTED FROM THE WORLD. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ^ random thought of the moment........well, one of them anyways.

HI. I am alive!

So, yeah, I haven't posted in a long time and since laziness is not an excuse, I have nothing else to say except that THIS IS A POST! I am starting again. Though, I am not sure why I try starting again right before we go on vacation......O.o.....oh well.

So, this summer is a busy one. Busier than I had ever imagined, than I ever knew it would be until about a week or two ago. Probably the busiest summer our family has ever had...

There were a few disappointments, regarding the plans I had made and then the unfortunate booking of our vacation during the weeks everything was going on. But I won't complain because I felt alot better about this summer when a friend of mine showed some common sense and said:

"Maybe, it is a blessing in disguise."

So, let me move forward and layout my summer agenda. Right now, I am in SASKATCHEWAN!!!!

Whoop!

We are here until Monday, which is when our family drives home. (here is where I take a deep breath and start to speak really fast) On Tuesday, we clean the house, host my Dad's side of the family for supper, Drive to Fairmont on Wednesday for my Nana and Grandad's 50th Wedding Anniversary, stay there until I don't really know, leave there a few days later, drive to Kelowna, check in to our house there, get loottsssss of groceries, maybe pick up Grandma & Grandpa from the airport, get sunburned and waterlogged, stay there for two more weeks, and then we come home, drive the stretch over two days, probably clean the house again, maybe go to Ignite, maybe go to San Diego <---- HUGE MAYBE THEN. Maybe come back here to Saskatchewan for harvest. Did I miss anything? PROBABLY YEAH. (here is where I take a huuuggeeee gasp of air.)

School is Done!

Yay!

School is finished for me, and my summer break has begun; although I must say its not feeling like summer with all the cold and rain....

I really have absolutely no clue what I will do this summer. Sleep in, stay up late, and just chillax are ultimately the only things on my schedule.

I will probably do some sewing and definitely some hanging out with friends! <3

I also want to do some random stuff, but nothing really planned out yet. We are going to Saskatchewan in a couple weeks for my cousin's graduation {I am still creeped out on how fast it came, last year, I was taller than him} and hopefully we will stay for a few days on the farm.

I am auditioning for {Anne of Green Gables, The Musical} in two weeks as well! As some of you may know, I am a complete {Anne} crazy fan, but that is another story....

So yeah, this was just a bit of an update...or...not really.

Vacation

This year my family and I decided to drive 26 hours to Phoenix, Arizona. In one stretch. Yes, we were that desperate for some sun!

So within a week of leaving we booked a house, got the van serviced, picked up some things we needed, and off we went!

The drive (for all of us I am sure) was treacherous, but well worth it because the weather was immaculate (somewhere around 90 degrees!). We first went to my auntie's house in Goodyear and spent a few days there.

Mom, auntie, Alexa, and I got pedicures (my first one)!!!

I can also tell you that in the 10 days we were there, we made trips to Target twice a day...

The house we rented in Scottsdale was....hehe...nice.....(not really), but we lived with it because we were in the pool all day and the TV had a karaoke channel!!

We were within walking distance of 'Thats Amore' Gelato and Coffee Shop, and the Italian family who managed it got to know us *quite* well, since we were there every morning. Mom thinks they just looked at us and saw $$$....

Anyway, those are some little tidbits from our vacation!

Once upon a time there was a person named Alanapu, and she lived in a fortress called homeiloniemonoduck. This was a very beautiful fortress, but it was haunted by an evil avocado. The avocado was very distasteful, because it was abused by a basketball. Thus the avocado had a certain disrespect for tall people. The avocado knew Alanapu was a tall person, so naturally the avocado unleashed his planto short-ify this Alanapu person. His plan was as follows: steal the shrink ray,sit on the toilet,

shrink the moon, and last but surely not least, cut off Alanapu's legs with a plunger the avocado had used VERY recently. YIKES. But then a charming young watermelon was walking by the fortress and decided to stop for a drink. He knocked on the door, and when no one answered, he decided to sing some Christmas carols in a foreign language called LALAABALLAFALALALA... Would the princess Alanapu come out? Who knows. He sang anyways. "Oooooonncee upon a Christmas snow daaaaaaay. Oooga logy boom bum poooooo!!!! - A moment ago

Tiss the qwertypants the looooottest trend! The latessssst trend is under the tree fo sha thee!". When there was no response from the fortress, the watermelon tried the door. It was UNLOCKED!!!! "Doobidoobydoo honey Alanapu I've come to marry you," Then an anvil thing crushed him, it was thrown by the avocado!! Who was ACTUALLY a potato!!! All these years he'd just been disguised as an avocado!!! He diguised himself because he was insecure from the abuse of the basketball.... He thought that the watermelon looked like a basketball... (the avocado/potato was actually blind)

Okey dokey then. This is weird...know why? Because you're not responding - which is so totally creeeepy!

Anywho.

So today....mom went to get her haircut. And it was...interesting. But now it is completely awesome. Because she washed all the poofy product out. Uhuh.

So then we went to fabricland and I got fabric for my next sewing project which is a stretch knit sweater-vest...

After, started driving everywhere looking for sit down restaurants that we could get into. We drove up and down Macleod Trail. We ate at the Phoenix Grill. Mmmhhm.

Then we went to Mexx. Didn't buy anything of course...I always wonder why we go to the stores where A SWEATER costs $80 and a GRAPHIC TEE cost $30 ON SALE. Yepper.

Then we went to Booster Juice and I got an Orangsicle flavoured one. Yummm :) Then to Hallmark and mom came out with Lindor chocolate eggs. Mwuahahaha!

We came home and I cleaned my room. Then the McNeills showed up. Then I babysat.

Then I went to bed. Yeah. And tomorrow Erin is babysitting while we go to Brendt's confirmation because Mass usually turns out to last two hours when the bishop is there. And when there are 195 kids to be confirmed. Common sense to get a babysitter for that mass.

Then we came home and now mom is cleaning, because we have company coming for Kate's Baptism on Saturday. Dawson's best friends from Saskatoon included :)

I have finished all my finals and midterm for online classes, and now mom wants to put me into another one...but I surprisingly don't REALLY mind.

Tomorrow is swimclub, which I DO NOT attend, usually, I lane swim with Krista, but much to my dismay, the swim club posse is doing synchronized swimming this week, and Brandon has asked Dawson for me to tag along, enabling me to ever-so-conveniently demonstrate synchronized swimming for them. CM'ON ITS BEEN TWO YEARS!!! Do you think I would remember that stuff still? "Yeah" ' oh...yes you're right I do'

Not that big a deal actually...I really do not know why I am complaining...You know, now I think about it, ITS GETTING ME OUT OF HARD WORK!!!! WOOHOO!

Tommorow Grandma is coming and we have to pick her up from the airport! Yay! Perogies!

Haha, anyway, there is no baby yet but it is getting close, because her due date is Dec. 1st, on Wednesday!

She probably couldn't have picked a worse time, since this week I have two dress rehearsals for North of Broadway 'A Very Merry Disney' NEXT WEEK on December 8th and 9th!!!

It is going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I am in seniors now and its sooo fun! The song we're doing are stunning, and many of us cry after performing it with coreography!

I've gotta say my favorite songs this semester are: Circle of Life from the Lion King, Jing-Jing-A-Ling, and Shes In Love from the Broadway production of The Little Mermaid!

Today is the American thanksgiving....

Yay! I wish I could just go down there for the day to have turkey and pumpkin pie!

Yay!!! I am sooo excited for this semester's performance...
I have a rehearsal tonight from 4-8pm...grrr...
I also have to memorize my lines today...wow - I have more to do than i thought!!!

I really like emailing my blog posts to the blog, very convenient tool! There is also a feature so that when I get a phone, I can text in blogs too!

Anyway, yesterday I went to the orthodontist and the booked me to get my braces off in 12 weeks!!! SOO EXCITED!

But my teeth REALLY hurt today....they double up the wires AND now I have to wear tight elastics!

Hiya Guys!!!

Last night for my birthday, from Grandma & Grandpa I got a $50 gift card to aeropostale!

From mom and dad I got $50 to Future Shop!!!

Yay!

Mom is getting a haircut right now, and Maria is sleeping.
Later I have an orthodontist appointment, and after that, depending on Maria, we might go to Aeropostale in the mall and the Gap to exchange some pants!!!

Then we come home and for supper we are planning on having 'Nacho Ordinary' (Not so ordinary...), It's kinda like taco salad on a plate!

From there its off to N.O.B. for me, from 6:30 - 9pm

And then I will come home, and sleep.

Welcome to my new blog!!!

I am sooo excited!
For my birthday so far, Dawson gave me a JUGHEAD Comic!!!

I got up, had breakfast, showered, and blowdried my hair.
Then I did school.

Mom has a midwife appointment @ 12pm today, then Alexa's music class @ 1pm

AND I AM BABYSITTING BECAUSE I AM A RESPONSIBLE TEENAGER! :)

Then later I have curling, and it is PICTURE DAY!

Got my jacket last week and I wear it EVERYWHERE!
(It has my name on it) ;)

So, not much has happened yet, because, you know; it's only 10am, but I will update you later!
